The Brief

Many young people find it difficult to gain  the experience and skills that employers are looking for, particularly with unpaid internships.  The European Voluntary Service scheme provides volunteers with travel and living expenses for a period of 3-12 months in Europe. 

The Partnership

CHANGE AGENTS have developed strong partnerships with a number of organisations across Europe including Iceland, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Spain and France.

The Results

Over the past 6 years, CHANGE AGENTS have offered fully funded volunteering experience to over 40 young people, both in the UK and overseas.  Volunteers have undertaken a range of tasks such as marketing and promotional activity, designing training, conducting interviews and help other young people gain skills and confidence.  Many of the participants have gone on to develop their careers in the sustainability sector, and alumni of the programme include overseas aid workers, members of parliament and outdoor activity centre managers.
