The Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) is the leading alliance of universities and colleges, sector bodies and commercial organisations, working together both in the UK and internationally to drive environmental, social and financial sustainability to the heart of tertiary education. The EAUC has over 300 members from across tertiary education and the private sector in the UK.

Our members are at the heart of everything we do. We need a Member Community Officer to deliver growth in new areas and ensure we continue to deliver an excellent service to existing members. We are seeking a talented membership professional with a strong track record of planning and delivering impressive membership support and growth within the voluntary or private sector.
This is an exciting role that will support all aspects of membership for both educational and company members of the EAUC. As Member Community Officer, you will play a crucial role in creating long and lasting relationships with our members and demonstrate member value at every touch point, while actively promoting the EAUC to non-members.
You will support and arrange a series of contacts with members on various stages of their membership cycle, through communications, meetings, and the member journey process you will help to develop a strong feedback programme ensuring the insight obtained is raised to the highest level, ensuring that members’ needs are understood and addressed by the whole organisation. You will continually develop this process and report regularly to senior managers.
You will provide support to our network of regional and special interest groups, ensuring that they meet and communicate regularly. This work is vital to the EAUC and you will have a crucial role in ensuring that these groups thrive and deliver real outcomes for the broader membership. You will also provide support to our Corporate Relationship Manager in implementing agreed deliverables with our company members.
As a key point of contact between members and the EAUC, you will be a very confident communicator with ability to develop strong relationships, match needs with services and thrive in member engagement. This is a broad and varied role, so you need to be adaptable and keen to take on projects and challenges as they arise. Drawing on a range of skills and experience, you will provide essential drive and support to the members of the EAUC. The Member Community Officer will report and be accountable to the Membership Manager and will deliver and contribute to wider association activities and targets.

Hours/Week: 37 – We are open to applications on a job share basis. Please be clear what hours you would like to work in a job share situation.
Work outside normal hours: Occasional travel to and from events.
Annual leave: 24 days, rising to 36 if you work an extra 30 minutes per day after successful completion of your probation period.
