|Project||Employment and Community Project Officer|
Groundwork is the community charity with a green heart. We believe that big global issues – the economy, the environment – have a big local impact. Groundwork operates throughout the UK helping communities find practical solutions to the challenges they face.
Groundwork’s award-winning training programmes are going from strength to strength and they are seeking a highly motivated individual to help continue this success.
The role demands an enthusiastic person who is able to pass on skills by training a wide range of volunteers, enabling them to gain qualifications, experience and improve their job prospects. The training takes place through the implementation of real community landscape improvement projects and the post holder will lead the volunteers through the on-site work as well as their qualifications.
Benefits of this opportunity
Groundwork has a commitment to the continual personal development of its staff. The successful candidate will be supported by both the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough team and the wider Groundwork East. This role will help develop the candidate’s project management skills as well as their practical and interpersonal skills. Cambridgeshire is a rapidly expanding team so opportunities for advancement within Groundwork are strong.
Future employment potential
One year contract with opportunity to extend.
The post holder will have the ability to engage with and train a range of volunteers aged 16-65.
