SPA training returns! This February we gathered our network of Sustainability Projects Assistants (SPAs) in Oakham.
We shared information on a range of professional development skills and Green Impact knowledge. We used the project management section to address tools and techniques that can be used whilst planning and implementing a project, we also used this as an opportunity to apply these techniques to people’s current ideas for their Green Impact awards event.
It was great to see this year’s SPAs engaged with the information available to them as well as implementing sustainable options in their every day life; reusable water bottles all round and a request for no straws at our evening meal!
We can’t wait to hear how they are implementing what they’ve learned in our catch up and networking call in March.
If your organisation is participating in the NUS Green Impact programme then an SPA might be for you. They are a dedicated individual and resource. We will recruit, train and support SPAs through their placement; arming them with the experience, tools and techniques to inspire people to make positive change.
