Careers in Sustainability
Engage students from all disciplines with an interest in forging their career in the sustainability sector or embedding sustainability into any role. This workshop will look at the skills employers want, give them a flavour of sustainability and the sustainable development goals and look at how to approach finding a career; with CV writing tips and Interview Skills. Available as a student focussed workshop or a 'train the trainer' style workshop for your careers team.
The Principles of Communication, Project Management & Presentation
Our popular one-day workshop explores in detail the three essential topics of Project Management, Communication, and Presentation. These core skills are becoming increasingly desirable across sectors. Delivered through a blend of teaching, practical application and peer review, participants leave the workshop with the insight and technical understanding to apply and further develop these skills within the their unique work-place setting.
The Sustainable Development Goals - An Interactive Workshop -
There are 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with 169 targets, spanning all aspects of how we work and live. This workshop explores the process of implementing the SDGs and how adopting collaborative approaches to action and learning can support organisations in their efforts to create real change. This interactive workshop is driven by attendees, who will be able to elect and explore the SDG topics most relevant to them.
This comprehensive training programme teaches young professionals essential skills and industry specific knowledge. Using a combination of face-to-face workshops, online learning and video conference calls we aim to create a community, promote group collaboration and enable participants to network with their peers across the country. Available to Change Agents and members of your team.

Facilitated conference calls are a great extension to the face-to-face workshops, continuing participants' network building and offering them a chance to reflect on the application of their new skills.
Through our tailored conference calls we are able to discuss common challenges and explore solutions, as well as introducing new learning opportunities to our Change Agents.
Enrolment onto our Skills Development Programme - a suite of online training resources and content on the Change Agents Academy.
SDP Exercises - Our interactive exercises are designed to develop skill sets, through self-evaluation and learning.
Courses - Our interactive courses give our Change Agents more in-depth knowledge of core Professional Skills through courses such as Assertive Behaviour, Project Management and Bid Writing.
The CAUK Academy is an online platform to help our Change Agents develop the skills, knowledge and experience needed to create positive change in their career. We also provide open-access resources to enable candidates to increase their chance of securing a role in sustainabiity
In collaboration with our network of volunteers and industry professionals, we have developed a number of in-depth professional skills courses.
Change Agents can gain insight into areas such as Project Management, Assertive Behaviour and Copy Writing - we go the extra mile to ensure the Continued Professional Development of those we recruit.

Through bespoke presentations and learning notes we aim to decrypt the application and interview process. Experts in this sector we help candidates write a stand out application, and provide guidance on what employers are looking for, and shine at interview.

Professional coaching is regarded as the highest level of personal development. It is a 1:1 relationship most effective during times of transition. Its many benefits include employee readiness, resilience, confidence & engagement.
The Coaching Programme
How does it work?
You will be paired with a coach who, over a period of 3 months, will use observation, questioning, listening and feedback to create a conversation rich in insight. You will develop a greater clarity and appreciation of your own circumstances and create new ways to approach challenges and achieve goals.
Coaching as a Change Agent
When offered to our Change Agents as part of some of our placements, the coach will initially work with the Change Agent to set development goals that will have an impact on their working environment; with six private coaching sessions (an hour every two weeks) to work towards the goals.
