Sheri-Leigh Miles

Chair of the Board

Sheri-Leigh is Co-Founding Director of NETpositive Futures and Go4Growth where she helps organisations, teams and networks make links between sustainability and excellence. Her focus is turning ambition and strategic rhetoric into practical action that has a positive impact. She primarily does this using innovative action planning software, co-developed with the Stockholm Environment Institute, which supports sustainability engagement in a range of contexts.

She was involved in the development of the UKs first sector-level sustainability strategies (Learning and Skills Council and Higher Education Funding Council) on the Board of the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC) during their formative years (including 3 years as Chair) and was part of the award-winning Ecoversity team at the University of Bradford, the first whole-institution sustainability engagement programme in the UK.

In 2018, she was invited to become a Fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) in recognition of her sustainability work.

She teaches sustainability on Newcastle University Business School’s Executive Education programmes and also collaborates with the team on a pioneering project to embed the Sustainable Development Goals into the curriculum.
