Housing Associations
Housing associations are under real pressure right now.
Net zero targets, retrofit programmes, changing regulation, and the expectation that your whole organisation moves in the same direction. But sustainability can't just live with one team or one person. It needs to become part of how everyone thinks and works.
It takes the right knowledge, shared across the right people - from housing officers and HR teams to senior leadership. That's where we come in.
We work with housing associations to build genuine sustainability capability across your organisation. Our training programmes are developed and delivered by trainers who understand the sector.
We offer two courses designed specifically for housing associations, as well as bespoke options:
-
Carbon Literacy for Social Housing
-
Sustainability for HR & Greening Culture

"Change Agents produced and provided a workshop for our Sustainability Day at work. I was really impressed with [their] enthusiasm and ability to produce high quality relevant workshop material. It was a great interactive workshop that set the tone and was well received by the attendees."

Carbon Literacy for Social Housing
Carbon Literacy is “An awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.”
This one-day course, specifically for Housing Associations, provides your team with an understanding of the key impacts, risks, opportunities and solutions to climate action. It is suitable for staff across any housing association to bring them into your sustainability journey. With the requirement for all participants to pledge a carbon-saving commitment, it is a fantastic way to empower all teams to become sustainability champions, using their role-specific expertise to feed organisation-wide change.
Whether you want to upskill and train your staff yourselves or have us as your delivery partner we can help!
1
Planning
We can help you plan your first Carbon Literacy course. Sharing tips and recommendations to get your training off the ground.
2
Delivery
We can deliver the course directly to your teams. Tailoring the course to your context and aims. We support the whole course from pre-course materials to submissions.
3
Support
Learners need to submit evidence to the Carbon Literacy Project to get certified. We'll review their work and offer 1-2-1 support where needed.
4
Upskill
If you want to take the training in-house, we offer a facilitator support programme, and can co-facilitate sessions while you gain the confidence to go solo.
Sustainability for HR and Organisational Development
Most sustainability strategies stall not because of lack of ambition, but because the culture hasn't caught up. HR teams are uniquely placed to change that. From recruitment and induction to learning and development, the way you shape your organisation's people practices has a direct influence on whether sustainability becomes embedded or stays a policy on a shelf.
This three-hour session is designed specifically for HR professionals who want to move beyond awareness and start taking meaningful action.
Together, we'll explore what sustainability really means in the context of your role and remit, and use our Sustainable Culture Framework to identify practical steps across skills, processes and culture. You'll leave with a clearer picture of where your organisation is now and where you can make the most difference.
What to expect:
-
A grounded introduction to sustainability, framed around HR practice
-
Exploration of your organisation's culture and where the gaps are
-
Practical tools and frameworks you can apply straight away
-
An interactive session
3 hours | Virtual or in-person | Tailored to your organisation
